NEW CASTLE — Police in Western Pennsylvania say a man broke into a home and changed into that resident's clothes before being caught breaking into another home down the street.

Investigators say 30-year-old Eugene Courson III broke into one Shenango Township home on Wednesday night. Police say he changed into a pair of the resident's pants and trashed the house before going down the street.

That's where authorities say the New Castle man was caught breaking into an occupied home.

LANCASTER — A young central Pennsylvania woman who pleaded guilty to trying to kill her sleeping mother by pouring a pot of boiling water on her face has been sentenced to 13 to 30 years in prison.Lancaster County Judge Dennis Reinaker told 24-year-old Alisa Loump on Monday that he could not understand what he called such “depraved” behavior.Loump's boyfriend, 19-year-old Antoine Walker of Edinburgh, Ind., was sentenced to eight to 20 years.

BLAIRSVILLE — State police say two Western Pennsylvania teens gained access to a school database and took teacher and student personal information, including salaries and Social Security numbers.The breach was only discovered because one student raised his hand during class and recited the teacher’s Social Security number, according to reports.
