Frances Goepfert

Frances Goepfert, 97, of Cabot passed away Friday at Sugar Creek Rest.

Born Nov. 28, 1913, in West Winfield, she was the daughter of Joseph and Cecilia (Luzer) Vucjak.

She was born, raised and lived in the Winfield area for 80 years. She then lived at the Butler Arbors for four years and her last 13Z\x years were at Sugar Creek Rest.

She had worked in the mushroom mines, at Mary Ann's Restaurant and at Saxonburg Ceramics.

She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and her dogs.

Surviving are her children, Henry “Sonny” Goepfert of Sarver, Martin Goepfert of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mrs. Roy (Mudge) Bowser of Worthington; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry A. Goepfert, who she married March 4, 1930, and who passed away Dec. 18, 1981; her daughter, Betty Crabtree; and a grandson, Ricky Dale.

As the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Frank Vucjak and Joseph, John, Louis and Andrew Markovich; and three sisters, Ann Sepich, Mary Delatour and Theresa Pierpan.

<B>GOEPFERT </B>— Friends of Frances Goepfert, who died Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert H. Wilson officiating.
