Rita E. Karpinski, 90, of Zelienople, formerly of Glenshaw and Shaler Township, died Wednesday at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born Dec. 11, 1920, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late John and Marie Dickert Kelly.

Mrs. Karpinski had been a bookkeeper for the H.J. Heinz Co. for many years. She was a member of the St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth L. Karpinski of Brewster, N.Y., and a grandson, Matthew J. Karpinski.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank J. Karpinski, on Jan. 22, 2004, a brother, and two sisters.
