SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University men's soccer standout defender Patrick Conley has been named first team Daktronics All-Region.

The senior became the first player in the region to become a four-time selection since the program was reinstated in 2006. Conley had 10 goals and five assists in 80 games with The Rock.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Four Slippery Rock University women's soccer players have been named to the Daktronics All-Region team.Midfielder Shelby Ward and defender Emer Flatley earned first-team honors while forward Kara Mullins and midfielder Stephanie Buckenheimer made second team.Flatley was an integral part of SRU's 11 consecutive shutouts this season. Ward has six goals and nine assists on the campaign, while Mullins has 11 goals and four assists. Buckenheimer has seven goals and three assists.

KARNS CITY — Karns City junior Evan McGarvey has been named MVP of the Upper Allegheny Valley Soccer League this season.Other Gremlin boys making All-UAVSL are Andrew Johnston, Austin Murray, Justin Ryan and Matt Slagle. Girls making all-league are Erin McCue, Emily Olszak and Breann Wood.
