Grace Whalen Gazdacko, 93, formerly of Evans City, died Monday evening at Valencia Woods Nursing Center in Valencia.

Born in Pittsburgh, March 13, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ellen Madden Whalen.

She was a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Evans City and the Mars Chapter 271 Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are two sons, John Jay Gazdacko and his wife, Irene, of Beaver and Robert Lee Gazdacko and his wife, Claudia, of Zelienople; her grandchildren, Michael, Jeffrey and Ian Gazdacko; and a sister, Helen Sherry in California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Gazdacko, who she married Jan. 26, 1946, and who died March 12, 2007; three brothers, and three sisters.

<B>GAZDACKO</B> — Friends of Grace Whalen Gazdacko, who died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, will be received at <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, Thursday from 2 p.m. until time of service at 3:30 p.m. and then from 7 to 9 p.m. The Rev. David Saylor, pastor of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, will officiate.
