George P. Botsis
George P. Botsis, 97, of Butler passed away Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Jan. 5, 1914, in Corinth, Greece, the son of the late Peter and Harriet Botsis.
George was a member of St. Anthony Orthodox Church.
He had been a partner in Capitol Cleaners and then retired from the custodial department at Union National Bank.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing and watching all sports. He had been in a senior citizens' league at Stoughton's Golf Course.
Surviving are two daughters, Harriet (Joseph A.) Herring of Butler and Anne (George) Diener of Jamestown, Ohio; two sons, Peter G. Botsis of Butler and Allan (Cynthia) Botsis of Charlotte, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister in Greece; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia (Pikoulas) Botsis, who died Sept. 21, 2002; and by two sisters.

Jefferson St., Butler, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at St. Anthony Orthodox Church, 400 S. Sixth St., Butler, Monday, at 11 a.m. with Father Bogdan Bucur officiating.
