Emma Margaret Williams

Emma Margaret Williams, 89, of North Main Street, Butler, died at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday at her home.

Born March 10, 1922, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Milo R. Williams and Edith Sutton Williams.

Miss Williams was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church.

Miss Williams received a bachelor's degree in sociology, Class of 1943, and a master's degree in education, Class of 1945, from Allegheny College.

She formerly was associated with the Milo R. Williams jewelry store.

She was a member and former officer of the Daughters of the American Revolution-General Butler Chapter, the A.A.U.W., the Reading Club of Butler, and the Senior Woman's Club. Miss Williams also was a patron of the Butler County Symphony and formerly was active with the Butler Country Club.

Miss Williams is survived by Robert Moore Jr. of Butler, Pamela Patterson of Butler, Cheryl Hayes of Mount Lebanon, Carol Ann and Thomas Campbell of Butler and Miss Marcie Hepler of Butler. She is further survived by her longtime friend and caregiver for more than 40 years, Miss Helen Olenic of Butler.

Miss Williams was preceded in death by Mrs. Thomas (Suzanne) Hepler.

<B>WILLIAMS</B> — Friends of Emma Margaret Williams, who died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, will be received at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Services will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Merry H. Meloy of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church officiating. Private interment will follow in North Side Cemetery.Contributions may be made to the Butler Area Public Library, 218 N.
