Sara F. Yoder, 95, of Zelienople, formerly of Valencia and Franklin Park, died Friday morning at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.

Born in Pittsburgh, Dec. 24, 1915, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Florence A. Loeffler Nagel.

Mrs. Yoder had worked as a clerk at Gimbel’s in the North Hills for 24 years.

She was a member of the Mars Alliance Church and the Mars AARP.

Surviving are two sons, William W. Yoder and his wife, Donna, of New Brighton and Gordon L. Yoder and his wife, Gail, of Cranberry Township; a sister, June Spithaler and her husband, Glenn, of Valencia; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Arch Schroeder of Franklin Park; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warden Yoder, who she married Oct. 15, 1935, and who died Jan. 12, 1970; two daughters, Sally Schroeder and Donna Lee Yoder; and three brothers.

YODER — Friends of Sara F. Yoder, who died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, will be received at

McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Lawther, pastor of the Mars Alliance Church, officiating.
