Fitzgerald elected Allegheny executive
PITTSBURGH — Democrat Rich Fitzgerald outpaced Republican D. Raja Tuesday to become the elected county executive in Allegheny County.
With 82 percent of the precincts reporting, Fitzgerald had 64 percent of the vote while Raja had 36 percent.
Fitzgerald and Raja are both businessmen.
