LaVerne M. Walton
LaVerne M. Walton, 83, of Butler returned to God's holy light Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
She was born Aug. 12, 1928, in Pittsburgh to the late Andrew Adamson and Luella (Hughes) Adamson.
Mrs. Walton was a self-employed beautician. She was proud of her profession and enjoyed the friendship of her clients.
Mrs. Walton was a member of the Nixon United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, family photography, traveling, dancing and meeting new friends.
Mrs. Walton is survived by one son, Charles G. Walton Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Marble, Clarion County; one daughter, Marlene Walton and her husband, Neil Szuminsky, of Mars; one sister, Sally Henderson and her husband, Ralph, of Butler; her beloved niece, Luellen Henderson, who provided much love and support over the years; and one nephew, Joel Henderson and his wife, Nancy, of Butler.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her dear nephew, Brent Henderson.
<B>WALTON</B> — Friends of LaVerne M. Walton, who died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, will be received at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce K. Merritt of Nixon United Methodist Church officiating.
