Welcome Chorus greets new director
PITTSBURGH — The Greater Harmony Chorus, an a cappella women’s chapter of Sweet Adelines International, presents its annual show and welcomes its new director Chuck May at 4 p.m. Saturday at Ingomar Middle School, 1521 Ingomar Heights Road.
“Moments to Remember” will be headlined by the quartet Maxx Factor, the 2011 Sweet Adelines International champion quartet.

May was born and raised in northern New Jersey. He learned to read music at the same time he was reading words. In fourth grade, he started the saxophone; in eighth grade, the clarinet; in 10th grade, the flute; and he was accepted into the Mason Gross School for the Arts at Rutgers University.
In 1997, he graduated from Rutgers with a bachelor’s in music education. In 1999, he graduated from the University of Michigan with a master’s in music performance on the saxophone.
He and his wife, Molly, have three sons and live in Pittsburgh.
