Arthur 'Gus' Michael Taylor

Arthur “Gus” Michael Taylor, 55, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Dec. 11, 1955, in Butler, to the late Robert Henry Taylor and Helen Ruth (Russin) Taylor.

Arthur worked for AK Steel, the Cycle Warehouse and Benjamin Beetle.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Arthur was a die-hard Steelers fan, and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by one son, Jeremy Taylor; one daughter, Joanna Taylor; six grandchildren, Lillian, Zachary, Zoey, Dakota, Chloe and Dominic; and several brothers and sisters. He also is survived by his niece, Lisa Albert, his caregiver with whom he lived and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Taylor.

TAYLOR — Friends of Arthur “Gus” Michael Taylor, who died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, will be received at

Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. Pastor Terry Osborne of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate.
