Rebecca (Rumbaugh) Good
Rebecca (Rumbaugh) Good, 90, of Dayton, Armstrong County, died Monday at Good Samaritan Hospice.
She was born May 23, 1921, in Wayne Township, Armstrong County, daughter of the late Clair and Mary Pearl (Stuchell) Rumbaugh.
She was a member of Women’s Missionary Guild- Dayton, attended Dayton schools and graduated from Dayton High School in 1939.
She was a member of the Dayton First Church of God.
She was an owner/operator of a Shaklee business since 1977. She loved working on her computer writing newsletters for Shaklee.
She had a green thumb, especially when it came to growing orchids. She enjoyed every moment that she had to spend time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her son, Donald E. (Marilyn) Good of Dayton, Pa.; four daughters, Mrs. Scott (Mary) Rose of Pittsford, N.Y., Mrs. Michael (Louise) Bury of Sarver and Mrs. James (Jane) Horan and Delores Pratkanis, both of Butler; three brothers, Herbert Rumbaugh of Kittanning, James Rumbaugh of Polk and Paul Rumbaugh of Cascade, Md.; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oran Good, who died Nov. 15, 1997; a sister, Marie Burroughs; and two brothers, Raymond C. and Donald E. Rumbaugh.
GOOD — Friends of Rebecca (Rumbaugh) Good, who died Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at
Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, 724 Main St., Rural Valley, Armstrong County. Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Nelson Confer and Pastor Kenny Spidler officiating.
