Elizabeth 'Buffie' Meshanko and Joel Sweeney

A Jan. 7 wedding is being planned by Elizabeth “Buffie” Meshanko of Chicora and Joel Sweeney of East Brady.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joseph and Leah Meshanko of Chicora. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Richard and Marcia Sweeney of East Brady.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Karns City High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She is employed by Allied Dental Group in Slippery Rock.

Her fiance graduated in 2002 from Karns City High School and Lehigh Technical School. He is employed by Rosebud Coal Mining in Kittanning.
