Kristina Zeigler Blumenthal
Kristina Zeigler Blumenthal, 48, of Portland, Maine, passed away Friday at the Gosnell Hospice House after many years of battling cancer.
Born in Pittsburgh, Dec. 30, 1962, she moved to Portland in 1983 and was a registered nurse for 23 years at Maine Medical Center.
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Maxine Romanoff Zeigler; her infant son, Danny; and a brother George W. “Timmy” Zeigler Jr.
Kris is survived by her loving children, Max G. Blumenthal and Molly G. Blumenthal, both of Portland. She also is survived by her former, husband Edward Blumenthal; brothers, Michael (Michelle) of Marysville, Wash., and Peter of Columbus, Ohio; and a sister, Edith Kennedy (David) of Butler. Also surviving are her most caring “other parents,” Aline and Arthur Haag and family of Butler and Margaret and Harry Blumenthal of Yarmouth.
BLUMENTHAL — A memorial service for Kristina Zeigler Blumenthal, who died Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, was held Tuesday at the Bet Ha’am Congregation, South Portland, Maine.
