James E. Stokes

James E. “Jimmy” Stokes, 72, of Hobe Sound, Fla., formerly of Butler, died Friday at his home.

Born in Butler, Jan. 14, 1939, he was the son of the late James G. and Helen Davis Stokes.

Jimmy was a graduate of Butler High School and the University of Cincinnati.

Jimmy worked at Pratt & Whitney for 39 years.

He coped with Parkinson’s disease for 26 years while living the life he loved.

He is survived by his wife, Louise, of Hobe Sound; a son, Steven (Lisa) of San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Bruce (Clydene) of New Wilmington; sisters, Betty Mansfield of Wimberley, Texas, and Ginger (Phil) Angus of Carnegie; numerous nieces and nephews; and friend to all he met.
