Ruth Wilson Cooper, 90, of Hickory, Pa., formerly of McMurray, passed away Friday evening at her home.

Born Feb. 6, 1921, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of James T. and Lela McCandless Wilson, who are deceased.

Ruth was married to Charles Cooper, who passed away Nov. 11, 2000. A homemaker and housewife, she took great joy in taking care of her family.

She was a Protestant.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Karen Miller of North Carolina, and two sons, Kenneth T. (Melanie) Cooper of Carnegie, Pa., and Charles M. (Dorothy) Cooper of Hickory.

Seven grandchildren survive her, Brad (Julie) Miller, Bryan Miller, Timothy Cooper and his fiancee, Tracy, Douglas (Pamela) Cooper, Laura (Bryan) Zalaznik, Katie Cooper, and Charles W. Cooper.

She also is survived by two granddaughters, Alyssa Loblick and Emma Cooper.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth W. Wilson.
