Michael Juan Hembree, 65, of Zelienople, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday in Cherokee, N.C.

Born May 23, 1946, in Great Falls City, S.C., he was the son of Leroy and Juanita Kirby Hembree, who are deceased.

Mike was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Harmony Moose. He enjoyed playing video games, computers and reading. He also loved Aerostar vans and was a racing and boating fan. Mike was a people person who enjoyed life and had a great ability to make people laugh. He loved his wife, family, friends and his late cat, Alley.

Mike is survived by his wife of 39 years, Darla Confer Hembree, who he married June 24, 1972.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Watkins.

<B>HEMBREE</B> — Friends of Michael Juan Hembree, who died on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, </B>324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Celebration of Life services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Father William Dorner, pastor of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.Online condolences and directions are available at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
