STATE COLLEGE — Rex Energy Corp., has named Patrick McKinney as president and Thomas Stabley as chief executive officer. The company has an office and Marcellus Shale natural gas wells in Butler County.

As CEO, Stabley will develop overall corporate strategy and business development. He also will continue to be Rex Energy's chief financial officer while the company seeks his replacement.

Stabley has been elected to serve on the company's board of directors in connection with his promotion.

McKinney will continue to be chief operating officer, and as president, he will take a more active role in the company's growth strategy and risk management

Stabley was a co-founder of Rex Energy in 2004 as CFO. McKinney has been Rex Energy's executive vice president and COO since May 2010.

DETROIT — Chrysler Group LLC and the United Auto Workers say that they reached a tentative deal on a new four-year contract early today that creates 2,100 new jobs.The automaker is the last of the three Detroit automakers to make a deal with the union.Chrysler said in a statement that the deal includes $4.5 billion in new investment in retooling plants to produce new models and components by 2015. It did not offer other specifics of the deal.The agreement covers 26,000 U.S. workers and is subject to ratification by Chrysler’s workers.This is the first contract agreement reached since Chrysler’s government bailout and bankruptcy two years ago, and the first since Chrysler has been managed by Italian automaker Fiat SpA.
