VERONA — Firefighters this morning are battling a blaze that started in a Pittsburgh-area Moose lodge and spread to an apartment building next door where several residents have been evacuated.

Officials say one firefighter may have been injured when a ladder came into contact with a power line, but otherwise there are no reports of injuries in the fire in Verona, about 10 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.

The fire was reported about 4 a.m. and part of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 250 has collapsed.

Apartment buildings flank the lodge, and three adults and four children have been evacuated from three units in both buildings, one of which caught fire.
