James and Carol Yeckel

James and Carol Yeckel, both 74, of West Deer Township passed away Thursday.

Born five days apart, they are now together forever after 54 years of marriage.

They are survived by James' mother, Alice Gibbons; his brother, Gerald (Lou) Yeckel and Carol's sister Lois Sabina. They are predeceased by Charles “Chick” Gibbons.

They are also survived by their children, Deborah (John) Rees, James Jr., Robert (Jane) Yeckel, Ronald (Kym) Yeckel, Nicky (Yvonne) Yeckel and daughter-in-law Carolyn Mihalevic. Carol and James have 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren with one on the way.

James was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America 142.

<B>YECKEL</B> — Visitation for James and Carol Yeckel, who died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home</B>, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, where a service will be in the chapel at noon Monday.Memorial contributions may be made to the Light of Life Ministries 10 E.
