Sophie A. Weber
Sophie A. Weber, 85, of Lyndora passed away Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born in Lyndora, Jan. 28, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Valeria Ryba Kuminkoski.
A homemaker, she was formerly employed in the Butler Eagle's circulation department and was a nurse's aide at the YWCA.
She was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and the Tanglewood Center, and she was a volunteer for the March of Dimes.
Mrs. Weber was an avid bowler, and she also enjoyed cooking and baking.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Lalich of Butler; four daughters, Ruby Mackey and her husband, John, of Missouri, Kathy Fruchtenicht and her husband, David, of Virginia Beach, Va., Laura McCoy and her husband, Kirk, of Renfrew and Sharon Herring and her husband, Joseph, of Butler; two brothers, Edward Kuminkoski of New Castle and Ben Kuminkoski and his wife, Malena, of Butler; four grandchildren, Barbara Minnehan, Michelle Snyder, Mitch Mackey and Sophia Herring; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Weber, who passed away June 6, 2011, and five brothers.
<B>WEBER </B>— Friends of Sophie A. Weber, who died Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, will be received in the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
