Margaret L. McCall, 77, of Butler passed away Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler, July 24, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Irene Lauer Gerhart.

A homemaker, she was formerly employed at Peggy Lou Bakery and the Butler School District, where she worked in the cafeterias of the senior high and intermediate high schools.

She was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by four sons, Dennis W. McCall and his wife, Cindy, of Butler, Francis H. McCall and his wife, Kristin, of Butler, David E. McCall and his wife, Cindy, of Fenelton and Brian K. McCall and his wife, Kristen, of Ford City; three daughters, Celeste M. Phillips and her husband, Joseph, of Renfrew, Karen R. Fogel and her husband, Gary, of Renfrew and Colleen A. Morrow of Butler; one brother, Richard Gerhart of Butler; one sister, Mrs. Lorraine Kummer of Butler; 14 grandchildren, Joshua Phillips of Butler, Geralynn Phillips of Vowinckel, Richard Fogel of Destin, Fla., Melissa Fogel of Butler, Joann Morrow of Butler, Kayla Morrow of Butler, Tyler McCall of Butler, Jacob McCall of Butler, Jessica McCall of Butler, Jordan McCall of Butler, Walker McCall of Fenelton, Eleanor Cress of Fenelton, Zachary McCall of Ford City and Megan McCall of Ford City; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis of Butler, Gillian of Butler, Ryan of Butler and Madison of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Michael McCall, who she married Feb. 29, 1960, and who passed away July 26, 2004.

MCCALL — Friends of Margaret L. McCall, who died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, will be received in the

Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father James Dolan officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Peter Cemetery.The Women’s Council of St. Peter will meet at the church at 10:40 a.m. Thursday to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
