It has been 30 years ago on this sad September day,

The someone abducted my very best friend, and took my heart away,

For, you’re still among the missing and I’m still missing you,

I’ve continued to search and I will find you, if it’s the last thing that I do,

Every memory remains; as the years pass quickly by,

As I look upon the past, my heart just wants to cry,

I feel a warmth around me,

Like your presence is so near,

And I close my eyes to visualize,

Your face when you were here,

I endure the times we spent together,

They are locked inside my heart,

For as long as I have those memories,

We will never be apart,

Even though we cannot speak anymore,

My voice is always there,

Because every night before I sleep,

I have you in my prayer,

Tomorrow I may have an answer, and tomorrow I may not,

Please someone help me to find her, because it’s the only dream I’ve got,

It feels like just yesterday, but it was so long ago,

I know someone out there can help me, for someone has to know,

It just would take a phone call, to make all my pain go away,

If someone would just come forward and let me know where she is today,

I’ve been told by many, to move on with my life and let your memory rest,

But what they don’t understand is that you weren’t just my friend,

Michele, you were my very best.
