Carol McFadden demonstrates the craft of turning flax into yarn Saturday at the first weekend of the Penn’s Colony Festival in Clinton Township. The festival continues with hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the grounds at 365 Saxonburg Blvd. The festival features artists and musical entertainment reminiscent of the 18th century around the time of the French and Indian War. The marketplace features 150 exhibits from juried artisans. Admission is $7 for those ages 16 to 59, $6 for age 60 and older, $5 for ages 8 to 15, and free for age 7 and younger. Parking is free.
