Boy, isn't it embarrassing when you "chide" someone for inaccuracies, then put out inaccurate information yourself?
Capital gains rates for 2011:
tax rate-short term -long term
10%......10%..........0%
15%......15%..........0%
25%-35%..25-35%.......15% for all
Hey, I see that low income earners pay a lower tax rate than high income earners on capital gains. That's not fair! We should all pay exactly the same rate.
Cass, you have never discussed that discrepancy. We will all wait for you to crusade against those unfair higher rates that wealthier people pay on capital gains than the lower income earners pay. (Actually,if investing in a Roth IRA, one could avoid the above taxes, but many aren't aware of its great potential).
Your source for unbiased factual information, Factcheck. Now who is a major contributor to that source of information?
While this may shock you, I agree that we should close tax loopholes and end most subsidies, tax all earners on all income for Social Security(not just up to approx. $106,000), and have a flat tax rate. Do you agree that the US should encourage companies holding about one trillion dollars overseas a one time offer to repatriate that money in the US with no tax or penalty? Do you agree also, that there should be a balanced budget amendment (just as all states have)? How about abolishing all lobbyists and special interest groups that influence Congress?
Remember, when you use capital letters and exclamation points, that it is considered shouting at your intended readers.
