Three voting locations in Butler County will change for the Nov. 8 election.

The county commissioners this morning approved the changes to Cranberry East 3, Cranberry West 2 and Connoquenessing Township voting precincts.

The Cranberry West 2 location was changed to the Senior/Teen Room at the township building and the Cranberry East 3 location was changed to the gymnasium in the township building.

Before this, the locations were reversed.

Shari Brewer, director of the election bureau, had said Friday that many senior citizens who use walkers or are in wheelchairs who live at Sherwood Oaks retirement community, which is in the Cranberry West 2 precinct, had trouble negotiating mats on the gym’s floor.

The location in Connoquenessing Township was changed to the Pennsylvania National Guard Armory at 250 Kriess Road. Before this, the location was at the Butler Farm Show Office on Evans City Road.

It is being changed because the new location has more room.
