It used to be that toys needing batteries got to sit around after the first set of batteries ran out of power. Long after the batteries were thrown out in the garbage there were glimmers of fun when a fresh set of batteries became available. But then again the toy would set when the juice ran out. Nowadays the techtoys come with batteries that can be rejuiced when their power runs down. The techtoys are not like the toys of yesterday that would sit around long after the batteries were thrown away. These brand new toys are traded up before their battery life expires. The need is not power but some other need to have the latest techtoy. All the kids in the street are playing with them. Kids in their cars are playing with them. Kids at work are even playing with them. I don't remember seeing so many kids playing with toys so much in the past as they do recently. The silly thing today as opposed to the old play toys is the kids want their next techtoy replacement before their power sources could be replaced. The funny thing is I don't feel that much else has changed with the new toys.
