JEFFERSON TWP – Concordia Lutheran Ministries will host its 11th Annual Dog Show at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 16 in the Lund Care Center's backyard.

The dog show, which will feature a number of Concordia employee, resident and family owned canines competing in Best Performer, Best Groomed, Most Obedient and Most Friendly categories, will have several residents serve as judges.

The Greek Catholic Union Lodge 109 of Lyndora is holding a community blood drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross from noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 19 at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora. A used book sale will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Butler Public Library, 218 N. McKean St.The sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

BUTLER TWP—The St. Fidelis Parish festival will begin at 5 p.m. Aug. 18 to 20 at 125 Buttercup Road.
