Canadian team will dazzle with assembly drill
Do you believe a Jeep can be disassembled and then reassembled in less than three minutes?
On Friday, the Canadian Jiffy Jeep team will perform this feat at 6 p.m. in front of the Butler County Courthouse just before the Jeep Parade enters downtown.
The team also will present its demonstration multiple times at the Big Butler Fair Grounds on Saturday and Sunday during the Bantam Jeep Heritiage Festival.
In 1993, a team of maintainers from Canadian Forces Base Gagetown modified a standard military pattern 1973 M38 CDN Jeep to create this unique attraction that could showcase the skill and ingenuity of the Electrical Mechanical Engineers Maintainers.
The Canadian Jiffy Jeep team has traveled all over Canada and recently visited Germany to show off its skills in festivals in Hamburg, Berlin and Kolin.
