PITTSBURGH — A suspended guard at Pittsburgh’s state prison was charged on Wednesday with threatening another guard.

The criminal complaint alleges that 39 year-old Tory D. Kelly of Aliquippa waited outside the home of corrections officer Curtis Hoffman and then threatened him.

Police said in the complaint that Hoffman was among those interviewed in late 2010 regarding staff misconduct at the prison, and that the investigation resulted in the suspension of several corrections officers, including Kelly.

Kelly also allegedly commented to another corrections officer that he had a “50 caliber bullet with Hoffman’s name on it.”
