Ironmen edge BlueSox, 5-4
Nolan Tomaszewski smacked a bases-loaded triple in the bottom of the third inning that sent the host Lorain (Ohio) County Ironmen to a 5-4 Prospect League victory over the Butler BlueSox Tuesday.
Butler had jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the second inning before the Ironmen (11-11) plated one run in the second inning and three more in the third inning.
James DiBiasio, Sam Alvis and Michael Burke had two hits each for Lorain, who leapfrogged over Butler (11-12) in the Eastern Division chase.
Lorain sits at 1½ games behind the Slippery Rock Sliders (13-10) while Butler is two games back.
Colin Harrington had a single, double and two runs scored, Matt Berezo two singles, two RBI and a run and Jason Radwan a single and RBI, all for the BlueSox.
