Benefit to aid burned out Callery family

JACKSON TWP — A benefit trap shoot is planned to raise money for Ed Conway, Callery borough council president, and his wife, Judy.

Their home was destroyed by fire on July 21.

Benefit trap shoot coordinator Ed Aschley said while the structure was insured, its contents were not.

All proceeds will benefit the Conways.

Aschley said it will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 21 at the Evans City Sportsmen’s Club at 323 Textor School Road in Jackson Township.

Participants will pay $20 for 75 clay birds. Free food and beverages will be available, and door prizes, a trap shooting competition, and 50/50 raffle will be included.

Aschley said the Conways, whose home was on Kline Avenue, are staying with relatives in Wexford.

For information or to make a donation without attending the event, call Aschley at 412-287-7538.
