Fred, once again you totally avoid the fact that about 3/4 of the wealthiest Americans did NOT work to attain their wealth, they were given. You ignore this fact because it does not meet your preconceived notions of how most rich people actually get rich. The present tax and economic policies in America are not working as evidenced by the ever-growing income inequality gap in this nation. The richest Americans in this country keep getting richer and everyone else is either stagnated or getting poorer. When America was its economic peak during the mid-20th century, the wealthiest Americans were heavily taxed. Now, the wealthiest Americans are paying their lowest taxes in over sixty years and only they are getting richer. You suffer from cultural lag because it seems like you are believe tax and economic policies from 30 years ago are still effective today. I have the answer for you if they are effective or not, they are not. Favoring the rich has only helped them and not benefited everyone else.
