Leinenbach

Jane Leinenbach, 82, of Butler passed away Monday at the Butler Memorial Hospital. As Jane passed from this life to her heavenly home, she was surrounded by her family.

She was born Oct. 25, 1928, in Butler, to the late Thomas Critchlow and Earla Hughes Critchlow.

Jane had many occupations throughout her life, some of which were working at the Spaide Shirt Factory, the Butler School District and Jack's Ford. She also took on numerous other duties and responsibilities to support and sustain her family; but her most cherished life's work was that of a homemaker to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jane was a member of the Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, whose motto is “Charity Never Faileth.” Jane took this motto to heart. She sought opportunities to serve others, to care for children, to mow a neighbor's lawn, to care for the sick and shut-ins and to take meals to those in need, just to name a few.

Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, reading and volunteer service in her church. She sincerely loved and was loved by all the children she taught in primary. She was a wonderful storyteller and was often found in the midst of children from her own family, her church or from her neighborhood. Her fun and animated tales would leave the children spellbound.

Mrs. Leinenbach is survived by one son, Rick and his wife, Debbie Leinenbach, of Ridgefield, Wash.; one daughter, Lorrie and her husband, Sammy Turner, of Butler; five grandchildren, Travis and his wife, Jeannie Turner, of Butler, Cody Turner of Butler, Chelsea and her husband, Spencer Adams, of Portland, Ore., Derek and his wife, Jaymie Leinenbach, of Battleground, Wash., and Trenton Leinenbach of Provo, Utah; seven great-grandchildren, Levi Adams, Kiara Adams, Emma Adams and Caden Adams, all of Portland, Ore., Ashley Leinenbach, Ella Leinenbach and Naomi Leinenbach, all of Battleground, Wash.; two sisters, Louise Benoit and Dorie Nicklas, both of Evans City; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

<B>LEINENBACH</B> — A memorial service for Jane Leinenbach, who died Monday, June 20, 2011, will be today at noon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 365 Saw Mill Run Road, Butler, with Bishop Kevin Popa, officiating.
