The Slippery rock Sliders plated four insurance runs in the top of the ninth inning to pull away in a 6-1 victory over host West Virginia Tuesday in Prospect League play.

Trent Wooldridge, Michael Durham and Jon Capasso each doubled with Wooldridge adding two RBI and Capasso one RBI for the Sliders (6-6).

Nick Umberger picked up the win on the mound despite walking six batters along with one strikeout.

Blake Roberts doubled and Zach Tanner added two singles for the Miners (5-7).
