Warheit tosses complete game
Third-inning doubles from Justin Patsilevas and Greg Miller led to the deciding run in Cranberry Township’s 2-1 win over visiting Harmony in Eagle County League baseball play Wednesday.
Brian Warheit pitched a complete game for the win, striking out seven and walking four.
Scott Carney pitched well in defeat, striking out four and walking four.
Anthony Sklarsky doubled for Harmony.
Cranberry (16-6-1) hosts Pine-Richland on Monday.
• Dan Penberthy singled twice, doubled and drove home two runs in Freeport’s 7-3 defeat of Wexford.
C.J. Stotler singled, doubled and also drove in a pair, while Jarrod Mancine doubled and scored twice and Wayne Greiser had three base hits.
All of the offense came in support of winning pitcher Kevin Rayburn, who fanned three and walked four in seven innings.
Dave Bergstrom tripled and Dante Calderone singled twice for Wexford.
