MCCANDLESS, Allegheny County — U.S. Rep. Jason Altmire, D-4th, is hosting “An Educational Evening with Marcellus Shale Experts,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Community College of Allegheny County’s North Campus, 8701 Perry Highway.

Altmire is hosting a panel discussion about the growth of the Marcellus Shale natural gas industry in Western Pennsylvania.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the event is open to the public. There will be limited time at the end of the discussion for questions from the audience.

Panelists include: John Walliser of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, Anthony Andrews from the Congressional Research Service, Rodger Keith from Penn State University, Kevin West from EQT Corp., Mike Brinkmeyer from Keystone Midstream Services, George Jugovic Jr. from the state Department of Environmental Protection and a representative from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
