Semega whiffs 9 in Harmony win

Eric Semega struck out nine and did not walk a batter in a complete game victory as Harmony outscored the Legacy Lions 6-5 in Eagle County League baseball play Wednesday.

Joe Ference hit a two-run home run for Harmony (7-2-1), while T.J. Morgan, John Sklarsky and Anthony Sklarsky each had two hits.

Hilgar singled and doubled for the Lions.

• Chris Larry’s two-run double in the top of the seventh inning lifted Cranberry Township to a 3-1 win over Pine-Richland.

Brian Warheit earned the win, striking out eight and walking three in seven innings of work for Cranberry (10-3).

Dustin Lalle singled twice for Pine-Richland.

• Justin Bollinger went the distance, allowing just one run while striking out six and walking three in Freeport’s 3-1 win over Mars II.

Bill Daugherty singled, doubled and drove in a pair of runs for Freeport (9-6), Dan Penberthy singled, doubled and drove in one and Matt Simoni singled and doubled.

Phil Double singled, tripled and drove in a run for Mars II (5-7-1), while Gabe Stephenson singled and doubled.

• Adam Brydon homered and Dustin Lalle had three hits in Pine-Richland’s 12-5 win over Mars II on Monday.
