Cass - I'm not sure if that's exactly what they meant or not about Exxon buying TW, but it sure sounded that way.

We got rid of TW about 8 yrs. ago. My hubby had some serious health issues and we had some $ problems and they wouldn't work with us. We switched to a pellet stove with propane heat (never had to use it) as a back up. We haven't had a regret. Usually our heat was set at about 66 with TW, but with the pellet stove, we are at about 68-70 and so comfy.

Yes, the pellets are a pain sometimes to pick up and lug in, but overall, I'll take that to the limited heat (lower thermostat) and the higher prices from TW. When the bills started reaching over $400 a month, that was just tooooo much. Yes I have an older house, but so do a lot of others around us. I don't know that I'd ever go back to a natural gas now after having the pellet stove. If I was to ever have the winning ticket to a lottery, it would be a house with the outside woodburner although I wouldn't need to worry about the bills then. ha ha.
