Saxonburg swept a doubleheader against Butler City Sunday afternoon, winning by scores of 16-5 and 18-1.

In the first game, Mac Megahan, Cody Beacom and Zane Voltz each had two hits for Saxonburg while Chris Pettit did so for Butler City.

In Game Two, Marcus Cashell singled and doubled twice, Nate Sarnese and John Campbell both singled and tripled in the win.

Pettit, John Cumpston and Nate Carben each singled twice for Butler City.

In other action:

• Jace Lyon surrendered just one run on four hits while striking out five and walking none in a complete game in Meridian’s 5-1 win over Zelienople on Saturday night.

Nick Legacy and Eric Turner both had two hits for Meridian (10-3), while Lyon added a single and RBI.

• Shawn Culbertson singled twice and doubled to lead Center Township to a 14-9 victory over Butler City.

Doug DeFrancis, Pat Lokhaiser and Ben Hortert each singled twice in the win.

Tim Thompson had four base hits and Dylan Meeder three for Butler City.

• In a game played Thursday night, Nick Cupelli singled, doubled and scored three runs in Cranberry Township’s 8-4 win over Meridian.
