Politicians carve us up into a pie - each of them selecting a piece they will cater to, then disrespecting the rest. They call names, hurl insults and turn us into stereotypes and cliches that they don't even understand themselves in order to secure your vote and turn you against your neighbor.

When everyone is putting Hitler mustaches on their opponent, you have to recognize that they lack any sense of propriety or context, as well as knowledge of history.

They speak a twisted common sense, but don't recognize true common sense - it's a sales pitch.

Quit buying! Whoever is in office TODAY needs to do the right thing. Yesterday's bad thing doesn't excuse today's wrong action. As long as they keep you looking at the democratic congress and the republican president of yesterday, they can continue to behave like children and excuse their latest garbage decision (or lack thereof).

Hold today's guy accountable. Republican or democrat or independent. He/She is the only one able to vote TODAY. Don't let them off the hook with their attempt to distract you from their responsibility to do what is right... right now.

Quit letting them waste your time and turn you against the guy who will stop and help you when your car breaks down, or help out if your kid needs met at the school bus. We are in this together - they win by dividing us against each other.
