WARREN — State police have cited a woman for retail theft after they say she shot a can of Silly String inside a store.

State police charged Nikita Jo Williams, 20, of Warren after they were called to the Wal-Mart in nearby Conewango Township.

The Erie Times-News says Williams was cited because police say she didn't pay for the can of Silly String she sprayed.

NEW CASTLE — Police are trying to determine whether a K-9 that died might have been left too long in the parked vehicle in hot weather.New Castle Police Chief Thomas Sansone says Chico, a 6-year-old Dutch shepherd, died Saturday shortly after he was found unresponsive in the back of a cruiser parked outside the police station.Video from a surveillance camera aimed at the parking lot might help police determine how long the dog was left in the vehicle.The car was equipped with a fan and a system to open a rear window in hot weather.
