PHILADELPHIA — They say the show must go on.

But don’t tell that to zoning officials at odds with school administrators in suburban Philadelphia over a new high school theater. East Marlborough Township said the Unionville High School auditorium can’t be occupied while the dispute plays out.

Mayor Jane Laslo told The Philadelphia Inquirer that the school district’s development document listed the building’s height at 35 feet. School officials concede that’s true. But they say the actual height was noted in the building permit. They also say the building is well below the township’s height rule.
