BROOKVILLE — A woman who has since resigned as a math teacher and coach in the Brookville Area School District will spend five to 10 years in state prison after pleading guilty to aggravated indecent assault for molesting a then-15-year-old student.

Karin Hetrick, 43, told a Jefferson County judge who sentenced her Wednesday that she’s undergoing counseling and hopes her renewed religious faith will bear fruit. “God has disciplined me and brought me home again. I’m forgiven, and I need to be punished.”
