The Butler High School all-school play will be a typical English farce written in the early 1700s, containing love, laughter and physical humor.

“The Beaux’ Stratagem,” a modern adaptation by Thornton Wilder and Ken Ludwig of the play by George Farquhar, tells the story of two young men who, having spent all their money living too well, leave London and roam from town to town in search of love and fortune.

The cast includes: Ryan Kelley as Jack Archer; Jonathan McCreary as Tom Aimwell; Sarah Hinterlang as Mrs. Kate Sullen; Nick Furar as Mr. Sullen; Megan Geibel as Lady Bountiful; Amy Achenbach as Dorinda Bountiful; Kevin Lukacs as Mr. Boniface; Samantha Barnhart as Cherry Boniface; Grant Clark as Gloss; Austin Uram as Scrub; Ian Compton as Foigard; Jack Fleming as Sir Charles Freeman; Haley Ratica as a country woman; Elizabeth Green as a woman; Dylan Gourley, Emily Herschl and Carly Ratica as servants; and Brandon Thomas and Josh Croup as highwaymen.

The director is Naomi Kosek. Technical direction is by Dale VanLaningham and the technical assistant is Robert Harrison.

Costume consultant is Carol Albright. Student stage manager is Shannon Green.

Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Butler Senior High School auditorium.
