Stan Kosciuszko, president of the Butler County Chamber of Commerce, said he has his mother’s personality and his father’s countenance.When his mother, Carmella Aileen Kosciuszko, got married, his father couldn’t dance.“My mother was a gourmet chef and a wonderful dancer. Before my parents got married they did practice so he could get through the wedding, but when she had four sons she swore that she would not send them out into the world not knowing how to dance,” Kosciuszko said.“Many nights we’d push back the kitchen table — we lived in one of those big urban houses in New Castle — and roll up the rug and mom taught us how to dance. We had a great time learning with mom, except when we had to be each other’s partners.“And that’s how we learned to dance.”
