HARRISBURG — A new poll shows Pennsylvania voters are divided over Gov. Tom Corbett's performance.

The Quinnipiac University poll released today found that 39 percent of the state's voters approve of the job Corbett is doing, while 37 percent disapprove. Twenty-four percent expressed no opinion.

The results reflected a sharp increase in voters who hold negative opinions. In a February survey by the same pollster, only 11 percent said they disapproved of Corbett's performance but 50 percent expressed no opinion.

The latest poll found 55 percent of women felt Corbett's proposed budget cuts are unfair, while only 45 percent of men felt the same.

DUNMORE — Police say a GPS system's faulty directions led to a head-on crash in northeastern Pennsylvania.Dunmore police say a woman went the wrong way on Route 435 on Monday evening then struck another motorist.Investigators say the woman reported that she was following the instructions of her GPS unit when she took a wrong turn to end up going north in the southbound lanes.The Times-Tribune of Scranton reports the woman had to pass a “Do Not Enter” but didn't notice her mistake.The woman was not injured in the crash but the other driver sustained minor injuries.
