Pirates get Paul from L.A. Dodgers
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates claimed outfielder Xavier Paul off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday, the second time in five days the team with last season’s worst record in the majors acquired a player who had been designated for assignment.
The left-handed hitting Paul is hitting .233 in 146 at-bats over three seasons.
