'Garden Rules' gets beginners off on right foot
Time is precious. That’s why Jayme Jenkins and Billie Brownell wrote “Garden Rules: The Snappy Synopsis for the Modern Gardener.”
The authors announce right at the start that their book is not for everyone. It’s geared mainly to beginners and casual gardeners, people who have enough trouble fitting weeding and watering into their overstuffed schedules without having to find time to pore over gardening manuals.
The little book offers snippets of advice, delivered with humor. The authors cover the basics, such as which tools to buy, and when to water The information is intended to help gardeners avoid common beginner mistakes.
“Garden Rules” is published by Cool Springs Press and sells for $9.95 in paperback.
